Welcome to the Bullpen

Welcome to the bullpen.

The American Heritage Dictionary defines "bullpen" in three ways:
  1. Baseball.
    1. An area where relief pitchers warm up during a game.
    2. The relief pitchers of a team considered as a group.
  2. A temporary holding area for prisoners, as in a courthouse.
  3. An open area in an office with workspace for a number of employees.
Obviously, in this instance we are using the term in its sense as a "temporary holding area for prisoners"...no, wait. That's not right.

Actually, the VWPC Writer's Bullpen is equivalent to the area in an office where employees can congregate. The AHD may consider these to have "workspaces," but we all know that in real life the office bullpen is really just a place to talk shop.

And that's what we're doing here.

Members of the VWPC all have the opportunity to operate a VWPC blog in which they can talk about, analyse, discuss or rant against any subject providing it has to do with journalism.

If you'd like to know more about the VWPC, please visit our site or contact Holman Tibbett in world.

We hope you enjoy the articles presented here. Just pick a journalist's name from the list on the right and start reading. Comments, of course, are welcome.
